Memories are cleaver impostors, making it appear that an experience or relationship cannot be healed. If you believe that, how can you heal your body or protect your health? Replace impostors with higher truth.
Me and my two new friends Jo Lynn, and Boomer the dog. We met a year ago on Mission peak and have seen each other in passing over the year.
The universe has brought us together Jo Lynn, I believe we will become great friends. Thanks to you and Boomer for joining me today.
I'm so sore from crossfit. check out http://www.crossfitoneworld.com for the WOD today.

Hey Catra -- would you have any good resources for a training program for a 50-miler? I can do a 14 mile run no prob right now, looking at Firetrails 50 in October. Books, websites, etc. I'm focusing on triathlon now, then bike in May/June for the Markleeville Deathride, then running. So, my conditioning will be solid, but I'll have a limited amount of time (3 months) to prep a 50-miler.
Might sound tough, but I've gone from no conditioning to solid half-ironman shape in the last 4 months, so I'm sure it's doable (I did hike the PCT after all, and at one point was averaging 35 mile days through OR and WA for 8 days solid). I just can't seem to find many recommended schedules or info about how to customize a schedule.
Thanks,
Matt (Iron Chef, pct '02)
just mail offline to mgeis@yahoo.com, or post reply w/o my email address. Thanks
Hey Catra,
Thanks a million for sharing your world with me. What a gorgeous day it was. I had a blast! I look forward to many more miles in the dirt with you.

Do you use a timer on your camera or do you always run with someone?
Hi Gripperm-
I usually run by myself. I have gotten really good with the self timer. This was taken with my new Sony camera today. My other Sony jumped to it's death off my desk. I have fixed that camera 3 times so I was planning on getting a new one. I bought another Sony and the memory chip holds 2,000 images. It will be perfect for my PCT journey.

Hey Jo Lynn-

I've been meaning to write about another subject. I don't know how dialed in you are with contacts along the trail (the Saufley's in Agua Dulce, the Dinsmore's in Skykomish, etc.). If you need any info, let me know. I can also help you to figure out if stops there are feasable, w/respect to your goal of setting a record. For example, you can hike down into the town of Wrightwood, but you could also take the time you'd spend hiking down (off trail) and just continue on to the intersection at Hwy 2, and get an **easy** hitch into town. Further up trail, Todd (the ranger at north fork) is pretty generous allowing folks to use his shower, etc. If you don't already have this kind of info, it might be helpful in your planning.

Hey Fitima-
Thanks for the post.
If you're ever in the US and visit California I would love to take you for a run.
XOXO,
Catra

"Disease is an impostor. ... Replace impostors with higher truth."
Oh, Catra, you've nailed it ... and such wonderful timing.
One year ago this weekend, a wonderful Christian Science practitioner helped me replace a longstanding and terribly painful impostor with a higher Truth that completely healed me ... just in time for me to run the OKC Memorial Marathon (on no training).
My finisher's medal now hangs in his office, because without his help, I would almost certainly have collapsed somewhere by the side of the road five miles into the race.
Bounce the impostors from your thought. They'll only hold you back ... and reflecting divine Truth is so much more fun.
