hey Ju-
I need to water proof the tent. I found out the hard way. It rained Saturday morning. It started at 4am. The tent was soaked on the out side. I need to waterproof it. It will be great on the PCT.

I have been looking forward to you getting back so I could read your blog and see how your adventures went. The rain this weekend was strong,i ran in the rain,through the mud laughing all way down and up the trail....anyway i love your blogs.

Hey, DD. Is that a Golite Hex 2 or Hex 3? Are you using one of your trekking poles to hold up the center?

Hey Anon-
It's the Black Diamond Mega a mid lite. 2 pounds. It has a pole extender and you use both poles to hold it up.

oh, megamid...I looked at that it has the bugmesh tent as an option...nice tent. I just kept bumping the poles when I futzed around with it. I ended up getting a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2.

Awesome job on your trial 4-day hike. I'm jealous...too cold yet in Colorado
