Damn I'm sore!
Hiked 8 miles yesterday up Mission Peak. I didn't think I would be sore. I guess my body is not use to hiking. It had been 18 days since I last ran. So being able to at least hike makes me happy.
Me & Rocky did 6 miles today. He so badly wanted to run. I just tied his leash around me and let him pull me along.
I'm heading out to the gym to ride the bike for an hour and do some light leg work.
Have a great day.

Sorry about your injuries. I know it must be tough on you not running. At least you can enjoy being on the trails hiking. Mission Peak is gorgeous. I remember running up there many years ago and making some cows very angry. I thought they were going to stampede me, so I walked backwards down the damn hill! Anyway, thanks for posting pics. Brings back lots of memories for me.
Ok Christine, I will email you.

Hey Gb-
Yeah, the cows get a little upset when they have their littlew babies around.
I have been chased more than once.
You know what works if they start coming at you you yell and run at them. They run away.
It has worked all but once for me.
Catra
Catra, glad you were able to get a hike in. It's funny how the body adapts to specific exercises. I've had the same experience where hiking will make me sore even when I am in good running shape. On the subject of Mission Peak cows, I have actually been "nudged" by one that decided I was too close at the end of one of my runs. Normally, I just clap or make noise and give them a wide berth.
