Everyone who knows me, knows I'm obsesses with the number 3.
I always ask for race number 3 or 33 fro races.
If I don't get it I hope my number breaks down to 3. I'm number 9 at HURT 100 that breaks down to 3 threes. Today I looked at the clock and it was 3:33pm.
We are on the 21st floor that equals 3 and we are in room 3.
Yeah I know I'm a nut! It's always a good sign when I see the number 3.

I just looked up your Rocky number and it's 33. Then for fun I looked at mine and it's 157. 1+5+7=13? Is that good or bad. And since I'm doing the TX Trilogy I looked at my Sunmart number and it was 243. Then this weekend at Bandera it's 79. Now this is pushing it but 7x9=63. Oh wait, the Trilogy is 3 races. Good Luck at Hurt.
I have the same issue with the number 7. I have to have "7"s in my number and around me or I just don't feel right. Funny how we do that.

My random number for the Rim Rock Run was 777. I figured I can't get luckier than that.
I was recovering from the flu. I was sick just the day before and still felt weak. So race day I wondered if I had 22.5 miles in me. I started up the steep 1st miles, then it leveled out. I felt good. So I kicked it up and still felt good. I was running faster than I ever had in my entire life!
Then I got a stress fracture. I ran the last couple miles with a broken bone in my foot while over a dozen people passed me.
I could've finished it several minutes faster.
But I did finish 12 minutes faster than last year.
Or I might not have been able to run at all.
So was I lucky? Or unlucky?
Seems everything in life is just a matter of perspective. What do I want it to be? Was it fun? Was it worth it?
