I am very lucky to have such a wonderful life. I get to chase my dreams. I thank God ,and my parents for helping me live my life to the fullest.

What a perfect day for a run. As you can see it was warm out. I was happy to get in a 9 mile run. Tomorrow I will be running 20+ miles on Mt. Diablo. That should be fun.

I love the picture of me and the baby cow. She looked up just in time for a cute picture.

Have a great day!

WAY TOO COOL 40 MILE FUN RUN FRIDAY

Friday March 9th a group of us will be running 40 miles on the Way too cool 50k
course. We will be starting from the staging area just past the Damn overlook, the finish line of American river 50 miler. Drive past the overlook which will be on your right and park in the dirt lot on your right. We will be starting at 8am. We will run to cool via the Western States trail also part of the Rio del Lago 100 course. We will get water in cool and head out on the 20 mile loop. Please bring a hydration pack and snacks. There should be water at ALT and near HWY 49.
You don't have to run the full 40 you can run as far as you want and turn around. I will have maps for the Cool loop. So we will try to stay together until we reach Cool. It will take 10-12 hours. Bring a flashlight just in case. Last year we had to share one between 3 people. Please email me for more info if you want to join the fun. catrarunner@yahoo.com I will see those of you who will be racing Way Too cool 50k Saturday. I will be working check-in and aid at HWY 49.

Look I'm running. I ran 10 miles today and felt great!
I had to moderate the post to my blog. Seems to me we have a couple energy vampires on the loose.
I had to delete some post which I felt were not nice.
My blog is for people who want to see what I'm up to. I veiw most all of you as my friends.
I just don't feel it's right to say hateful and mean things.
To these few people it's sad you even post as anonomous. (can't even say who you are).
Hey like my Mom always said, if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all. I am very nice to everyone. If you do have a problem with me,my email address is there email me and I will tell you how it is :)

I'm not really sure why someone who doesn't like me, or like what I do or how I look would follow my blog.
People who have a problem with me need to look inside in themself.
I know when I use to be that way and had a problem with someone, it was not them it was me. I learned to take a look inside. It helped me grow.
Have a great day my friends.

Discern the truth......

The problem with
making assumptions is that
we believe they are the truth.
We make an assumption,
we misunderstand, we take it
personally, then we react
by sending emotional
poison with our word.
This creates a whole big
drama for nothing.

Me & Julia out on a 9 mile hike today.
It was cold on the top. Brrrr....

I'm a happy camper! Why you ask!
I got to go to the gym. I rode the bike 15 miles and did 300 different ab exercises. I also did legs.
I really, really hope my doctor tells me tomorrow I can start running next week :)

Damn I'm sore!
Hiked 8 miles yesterday up Mission Peak. I didn't think I would be sore. I guess my body is not use to hiking. It had been 18 days since I last ran. So being able to at least hike makes me happy.
Me & Rocky did 6 miles today. He so badly wanted to run. I just tied his leash around me and let him pull me along.
I'm heading out to the gym to ride the bike for an hour and do some light leg work.
Have a great day.

My Favorite place to run, Mission Peak.
Well for now it will be hiking no running. Maybe next week I will be able to start running.
For now my doctor said I can hike & ride the bike in the gym.
I was so happy to be out on the trail today ,it's been so long.

I was given the ok by Doctor Zandi yesterday, that I could start hiking.
I didn't really tell him I would be doing an 8 mile hike up Mission Peak. He just said take it easy when I hike which I did.
I can also ride the bike in the gym and I will do some leg exercises.
No upper body for at least another week.
I was so happy to get back out on the Ohlone Wilderness trail.
I was happy to beat the rain. It's pouring right now

Wish I was out running in the rain. Since I can't right now, I can enjoy it by standing in it, in my backyard.
I really do love running in the rain. Soon I will be back out there.
Hopefully my doctor tells me today I can start riding the bike in the gym and hiking up and down Mission Peak.
Have a great day.

Ahhh...The beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Soon I will head out with my friend Julien for a 2,700 mile journey that will take us from the Mexican border to Canada.
These next few months I will live eat and sleep the PCT. I am in planning mode reading and focusing on what a fun journey I have ahead of me starting May 23rd.
This picture was taken on Sonora pass. I did this 76 mile section in a push, with a hiker I met on the trail. It took us 34 hours. What fun times I had last Summer. I can't wait for the fun times this Summer.
