“Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world.”
Happy birthday to me. Yep 46 years I have been alive and what a wild time it's been. I have been through so much but keep dusting myself off when I fall down and move forward into the next phase of life.
I am heading to Southern Cali. to spend the holidays with Andy & Rocky. Looking forward to it. I just love being with Andy we have so much fun. It's the best when the whole little family is together.
Who would of thought this little baby would grow up to be such an adventurous girl. By looking at the picture you would never have known. But in those eyes I see the spark of someone who would accomplish many things in 46 years.
I am truly looking forward to another 46 years on this planet it has been good and it has been not so good, but without all my challenges along the way I would never have become the me who I am today.
Have a very Merry X-Mas friends and Happy Birthday to me!!!

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do. ~Edward Everett Hale
46 hour birthday run is in the books. I ran 135.5 miles and raised $2160 for Chance 2 compete a non profit organization that I ran for and will be running for in the future.
This birthday run was not easy some years they are made easy because of the good weather.
This year a huge storm was hitting while I was running. I never wanted to quit or give up because it was not about me it was for the kids I am helping. It was important that I raise money for those who are in need. My plan was to raise $1000 dollars during the run. I had no idea that I would double my goal.
I want to thank all of you who donated what you could. I also want to thank those of you who could not donate, but sent me the gift in the form of comments and positive vibes.
I want to thank Mark Gingrich CEO of HTFU and founder of Chance 2 compete. It was because of him I had a cause and charity to run for. He was awesome through the whole 46 hours updating the FB the whole time. I am proud to be a part of Team HTFU and charity runner for C2C.
Also want to thank my friend Almine Barton who was awesome updating post and posting to her wall and other friends walls. Thanks girl!
I enjoyed most of the journey and just accepted the fact that the weather was not my best friend, but I have been through worse.
I want to thank my pacers and helpers, Jerry Roninger Kathy D'Onofrio, Linda McFadden, Joe Pham, Mylinh Nguyen, Mike Palmer, Clifton Carter and of course Rocky Ridge. They kept me laugh through the good times and bad times.
I want to thank HOKA one one for making an awesome shoe that made my legs, feet and body feel great all the way. Not one blister and I don't feel like I ran 135.5 miles today at all.
I made it through the cold, pouring rain, fog and 50-60 mph gust of winds at night. I hurt my ankle but took a break at home for a couple hours to ice it and rest and came back out stronger and in no pain. I only had to take two advil which is a big deal, since this last year I have taken many to get through hundreds. My hamstring never even bothered me.
I am blessed ,because there are so many wonderful people in my life.
I want to thank my boyfriend Andy Kumeda who wasn't here in person to help but I was able to talk to him on the phone and hearing his voice always makes me smile. He is the best boyfriend in the whole wide world.
Today I picked up my supply box in Sunol and ran 2 miles with no pain. Just in shock how awesome I feel.
Thank you again for following my crazy journey you are all amazing.
xoxo

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF..........
This years 46 hour b-day run is for a cause, I run for myself all the time and this time I'm hoping to make a difference. If you can donate something great. My goal is to raise $1000 dollars for the run. The Chance to compete is an awesome foundation so hopefully we can all make a difference in a kids life and allow them the opportunity to become great at a sport they love. You can follow me on Facebook during my run. I will post along the way.
Thanks, CatraFrom Mark ceo of HTFU:

Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.
Last week was a fun week trained in my HOKA one one shoes all week and just love them.
I ran Mt. Diablo on Friday 20 miles in the rain and it was fun!
I love running in the rain when its not to cold out ;-)
On Saturday I did my first orienteering event. It was a ROGAINE, did it with my roommate Jerry. I had a blast we found 5 check points. we did the 4 hour event. It was at Henry Coe state park which is an awesome place to run.
I met so many cool people looks like I'm hooked. Planning on doing a ROGAINE 24 hour next year ;-)
Ran with Linda on Sunday and got to catch up on life with her.
Found a couple of cow skulls shot in the head. They must of been sick so the rancher shot them ;-(
Ok the big news of the week. I will be running my 46 hour birthday run starting on Thursday at 4pm and finishing Saturday at 2pm.

"Impossibilities are merely things which we have not yet learned."
Charles W. Chesnutt
Andy and I had an awesome run at Ridgecrest 50k Sunday, finished in 5:57. It was my 4th fastest 50k time ;-) We had a blast!!! Andy is seeing a Doctor for a heart issue he is having but it's not effecting his running.
The weather was perfect the rain held off and it was even a little warm at times.
I wore a brand new pair of shoes out of the box the Hoka one one. I knew it might not be a smart move but I did it anyways. And let me tell you I love the Hokas they are amazing so comfy and light. My legs and feet felt so good after I didn't feel like I ran at all. I give the Hokas 5 stars out of 5. They are my new favorite shoe!!!
Andy and I played a fun game during the run. I would sing and he would have to name the tune of the song I was listing to on my ipod. Time flew by that's for sure. Looking forward to HURT 100 we will have hours to play that game ;-)
These pics. were from yesterdays run up Mission peak along the Ohlone. I was able to run fast on the down hills with my Hokas and not be afraid. They are super stable and you feel nothing. It all makes sense the concept of the shoe. Would you ride a road big on trails?? No you need fat tires not skinny for the trails. Why not wear light cushion shoes with a wide bottom that creates a stable platform.
These shoes are really awesome.
