BEFORE CROSSFIT .....MAY 2006I dug this picture up of Brian Mackenzie and I at WST 100 training camp 2006. I put up these before and after pictures of us, showing crossfit really works. Our bodies have changed a lot. If you haven't tried crossfit you should. It will make you stronger and healthier. Running doesn't give your body results like crossfit. Running will help you get healthy and feel good, but crossfit will get you fit, sexy, and strong.

Got crossfit????
FIT as F**K
Crossfit and diet(zone) can give you this body. Just running will not.
Check out http://www.crossfitendurance.com/index.php these workouts will get you super fit!!!!
Also check out crossfit.com for the WOD each day. You can do these from home. But I suggest join a crossfit in your area to get the best results.

WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

Thousands of athletes worldwide have followed our workouts posted daily on this site and distinguished themselves in combat, the streets, the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes.

We also publish the CrossFit Journal, designed to support the CrossFit community detailing the theory, techniques, and practice d by our coaches in our gym, in essence bringing your garage or gym into ours, making you a part of the CrossFit family.

We offer seminars, trainer certifications, and training and regularly provide consultation services to athletic teams, coaches, and police and military agencies throughout the free world.

Girl, you are tempting me to check out this Cross Fit. Your results are impressive! I'll check out a location here in ATL and see if I can maybe check it out in January.

Give me some idea how CF has improved your running.

Damn that's awesome! Both of you look great.

I'm totally with you on CrossFit. I started doing the main site and the endurance site WODs shortly after Skyline to the Sea. It didn't take long to see the difference. I also cut out excess junky carbs from my diet and THAT has made a big different too.

I need to learn how to do handstands. I'm kinda scared...it's been a long time since grade school and gymnastics!

Ok, WOW that is amazing. I am a marathon runner and avid gym rat, but that makes me seriously want to check out the Crossfit that is about 9 miles from me. Very cool. Michelle from MN

I am curious to know how Crossfit affects your running?? Are you faster? I imagine it would help sprinting a lot, but does it help improve your speed over longer distances??

A friend of mine is a crossfit trainer and he had been bugging me for a year to join. Truthfully, it was your pictures that made me sign up three weeks ago. You look amazing. I can do zone, but my trainer thinks Paleo is the way to go - it's a lot of sacrifice but there's no point in doing the WOD if you're going to screw it up with poor nutrition. How long did it take you to get it that shape and how long before you began to see significant PHYSICAL results in your body - not just better times?

it took a few months. I am a vegan so don't follow any crazy crossfit diet. I actually following the Engine 2 diet since I will meet Rip the author of the book soon he's coming to my Whole foods. The only thing on the engine 2 diet I had to change is no sugar except agave, mayple syrup and honey. But I don't do honey cuz I'm a vegan.

I don't belong to a gym right now because the times are not working for my training(running) so I do the .com wods at home 3-4 days a week. Crossfit is fun and challenging.
