HETCH HETCHY.......................
Hetch Hetchy is a beautiful area. Most people go to Yosemite and neglect to see this beautiful gem. I suggest next time you're heading to Yosemite, stop at HH for the day. The gates are open from 8am-5pm. Free entry during Fall/Winter.
It's closer than driving all the way down to the Valley floor. I plan on making a point to run there more in the future. It's a 3 hour drive and the trails are awesome.
Me doing a little climbing in the tunnel.
Jerry & I on the bridge at HH
Me at an overlook.
Jerry, Max & I on one of the many bridges. There was no water in any of the Falls we past.

Catra... just read your 11-13 post. You're right, I've been Cali all my 57 years of life... I need to see Yosemite and go up Half-Dome. Fitness is not the problem... time so far is the excuse. Between 35 years on the job and raising the 17 year-old son from HELL on my own... life gets crazy. But these are all excuses, I know... retirement is only 2 years away... and the only way to live through retirement and stay healthy is to stay active... way more active. So how much is guide service up Half-Dome ???... By the way, the SPF 60 is great... even worked on a surf go-out... thanks, Stevo

Stevo-
I will be your guide service up Half Dome. Start planing now. They put the cables around April sometime. It really depends on how much snow we get and how fast it melts.
I would be happy to guide you up.
Glad the 60 works well in water too. I like it because it goes on so light and you don't look all pastey.

I like your positive attitude... as in the snow-pack, and how much we get. Cali is so dry... San Diego is like an arsonists paradise at this point. Rain would be such a God-Send. Keep up the pace, girl. I'll get with you about the climb. Stevo
