I'm feeling much better. I went out for a 2 hour run. Running always makes me feel better! It was beautiful out 65 degrees,
I'm Happy it hasn't been a cold Winter, so far. Looks like it will be a light snow year in the Sierras. Lucky me since in May I will be hitting the PCT for my 3 month journey.
Ok here's a zen card..It's been a few days.

Patience...
watch water
drop onto the rock
beneath it. One drop does
nothing, but many
drops over time create
a hole in the
rock Such is the
power of patience.

I'm new to your blog. What is involved in your PCT adventure? Going to cover the whole thing?

Glad you're feeling better! It's been a warm winter here as well, but I am still waiting for the payback. Generally it comes in February.

The PCT sounds so EXCITING! Forgive me if this is an overly personal question, but how do you get off work for 3 months to do this? This is exactly the way life should be lived if you ask me! :-)

Hello Catra..I am glad you are feeling better. I have had that stuff for almost 3 wks. No fun. I just was playing around last night looking at ultra running and came upon your blog...it really impressed me...and I must say I am hard to impress. By the way I am a runner from Mississippi. If you are interested you may email me at tacohc1121@aol.com RUN4EVR,Cheri

P.S.Take care and get totally well soon.

I would hazard a guess that Dirt Diva either takes a leave of absence from work or quits her job to undertake things as time-consuming as PCT.

I got so fed up with corporate life and was so desperate for downtime from the rat race, I sold my house, car and almost all my possessions and took off around the world for a year.

People do things like this. It is all about choices and planning.

Higuys-

I work for Whole Foods market in nutrition. I'm taking a leave for 3 months so I can do the PCT.
I of course will have to pay all my bills before I leave.
I will not be getting paid while I'm out on the trail. I wish I was that would be nice.
I have always found a way to make things work. If I want something bad enough I just figure out away to do it.
