I did , I did It!!!! Well we both did Andy and I both set 100 mile PR's Andy ran 18:45 and I ran 22:09. It was an awesome day for us both. Andy caught me on his last loop with 11 miles to go. We ran his last loop together it was amazing to share his PR with him. I then went back out solo on my last loop. I felt great most of the day. And in the first time in a long time in a hundred mile race I didn't get a single blister woo hoo. That in itself in priceless. Ok more to come later gotta go to work just got home now off to work. I'm on my hundred mile high and I love it!!!

UNDERSTANDING.............
What happens to you does not matter: what you become through those experiences is all that is significant. This is the true meaning of life.

INNER PEACE................
Inner peace brings fulfillment. Attain it, and life works, give it away, and happiness becomes elusive.
Woo Hoo heading to North Carolina tomorrow I'm running Umstead 100 this weekend my friends.
I would so love it if you send me positive vibes during the race.
I want to do well and with your energy I can't go wrong.
This pictures were taken this past weekend. I did a run with George on Mt. Wilson Friday. Saturday meet up with Coach LeClair from elite fitness academy . He is in charge of the group runs for the Mt. Wilson trail race. Took Rocky out on that one 3 miles.

I hung out at the LA marathon with Rocky and George to cheer Andy on and all the other runners. It was fun. I lost my voice from screaming so much.

I even made a cute sign for Andy...I had a very busy week. Now it's time to focus on what's next Umstead 100.
I leave early..I hope you all have a great weekend. Get outdoors ;-)

REFLECTION.........
When the pond is still, the reflection is clear. When the mind is still, the reflection of life is clear. Reflection brings clarity.
These pictures were taken during our 9.5 hour run on the way to Cool course starting and ending at Auburn damn overlook. It was a wet and rainy day.
Just like most of my long runs lately.

The good news the weather was perfect for the Way two cool 50k race that I volunteered at on Saturday.
The weather is changing and I can feel Winter changing into Spring.

I will be in SoCal this weekend with Rocky doing my last long run for Umstead 100 with my friend George. I will be at the LA marathon cheering on Andy and the other crazy marathon runners. It's rally not my cup of tea running road Marathons.
This will be the first time I have watched a marathon in my life ;-) It will be interesting. I'm sure I will hop on the course to run a few miles with Andy ;-)

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.........

People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success. Norman Vincent Peale

The reason why I finished Coyote two moons 100 is because I trained hard and I believed in myself and I refused to quit. Running 100 miles isn't suppose to be easy. Yeah, you're going to hurt and feel low at some point but you must beleive it will get better as you go along.
This pictures are from various training runs or races I did before C2M. I'm already planning my C2M attack next year.
Way 2 Cool 4 Cool 40 mile run Friday...Start at the Damn over look the dirt lot next to where AR 50 finishes. I have been running the 40 mile training run for the past 10 years. Well last year I didn't do it because C2M 100 was the same weekend.
We will start the run at 8am if you're interested let me know. You can do part or all. It should be fun. I will be working Check-in for Way two cool 50k on Saturday and I will also be at HWY 49.
Let me know if you want to run Friday.

“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”– Hellen Keller

I finished Coyote two moons 100. I was one of 28 finishers. I worked hard and it paid off. I was in the 35 hour start group and I finished with one minute to spare talk about a close call.

It was all of you who sent me positive energy when I needed it most, it is what got me to that finish line.

Ok here are a couple pictures. I will write a report later. I love you all!

BE HAPPY.............
Happy people learn that happiness, like sweat, is a by-product of activity. You can only achieve happiness if you are too busy living your life to notice whether you are happy or not. Frank PittmanI noticed while running the other day with my friend Julia and her dog.
That as I ran alone down the peak I came in contact with at least 200 hikers and a few runners.
I said hi to all of them and noticed that maybe 30 of them said hi back.
Really people ,does it take that much effort to be friendly. I understand people are shy ,or don't want to be bothered but come on.
The world would be a better place if you just took a second to smile back, you don't really need to say anything. A smile means hello as far as I'm concerned.

I just would never be rude and not say hi back unless I didn't hear someone. Even in races when I am feeling lower then low I usually muster up a grunt at least if not a smile to.

I was happy to be out on the trail with Julia and her dog Sophie it was a very beautiful day.

Today Rocky and I went to the first bench on Mission Peak, 3.5 miles round trip. He ran the whole way up the hill proud of that little man ;-)
I often feel Rocky and I are alike he is stubborn yet determined, and is always excited to go for a run. We kind of look the same, Short and compact ;-)

I am getting very excited about Coyote 2 moons 100 miler which starts for me Friday at 11pm I'm in the #3 start group. I would love it if you all could send me positive vibes starting then until Sunday at 10am since I should be finished before then.

FACE YOUR FEARS..............

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face... The danger lies in refusing to face the fear, in not daring to come to grips with it... You must make yourself succeed every time. You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt

Saratoga Fat ass 50k was a blast we only got lost once and if my friends Jerry and Mike would of listen to me, we would of went the right way.
But then again it's all part of a Fat ass run, no trail marking no wimps no whiners. The weather was foggy and it rained at the end we did have sun for a little bit too.
The course was great you ended up back at your vehicle every 10+ miles. It was 3 loops all different. I plan to go back and run there again sometime. It took us over 8 hours. My excuse was I ran 28 miles the day before ;-)

I saw Wicked the play, Friday night with Jerry it was awesome loved it.
I loved all the costumes especially the shoes.

Last night we saw Shutter Island it is a must see movie. i really liked it.

This week I plan on doing a 30-40 miler on Wed. night as my last long run for Coyote two moons 100. My IT band was a little sore but today it feels 100 times better.

Well it's that time again gotta go to work enjoy your day.
I am blogging when I can since I don't have a computer, well I do but Andy needs to fix it.
So sorry if I'm not writing every day. ;-)

EMBRACE THE NEW........
It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power. Alan Cohen
It was another awesome day in Fremont California ;-)...well it got cloudy later in the day. they say rain tomorrow and Saturday ;-( Well i enjoyed it while it was here. Running Saratogo fat ass 50k Saturday. Planning on running 20-30 miles tomorrow for training...
I will see how my body feels.
Going to San fran to see the play Wicked tomorrow night with my roommate Jerry should be fun.

I'm getting excited about running Coyote two moons 100 in a few weeks. Andy will be working it so he won't be on the trail with me.
I really love the challenge of the course, it's hard and that's what I love about it.

Have a beautiful weekend and send me positive vibes for my 50k. Oh and if you have a dog take them out on the trail, they will love you for it!

YOUR UNIQUE TALENT...............
Use your talent (everybody has one) in anyway you can. Don't keep it for yourself like a miser - spend it like a millionaire! Lucy MacDonald

Twin Peaks 50 miler 9well lets not kid ourselves 52 miler0 was a blast......... Finished in 14:38 happy about my time.

Andy ran the whole race with me, since it was our Valentines day weekend celebration of having fun together. yeah we're a little twisted. I felt great the whole race pretty much except at the end when my blister in my right shoe erupted like a volcano as I was running super fast listening to my life with the thrill kill cults song, sex on wheels.

It was a beautiful day and the race was very well organized. Thanks Jess it really was great. The volunteers were awesome and the radio guys were great.
Sorry my post is short but my computer is not working so have to post on my dinner breaks this week.
Thanks for all the positive messages my friends. i love you all.
Enjoy this beautiful California weather while we have it ;-)

HELP OTHERS TO HELP OURSELVES...................
We work on ourselves in order to help others, but also we help others in order to work on ourselves.
Pema Chodron
I so believe this. Whenever you help someone you are learning and helping yourself. You can give advice on something and it will help you, knowing you are helping someone else.

We should all help each other whenever possible . Just listening or offering to do something nice even if it's a small thing.
Getting ready to head down South to run Twin Peaks 50 miler Saturday. Please send me positive vibes. I hope you all have a wonderful and happy weekend.

IT'S WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT.................
It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about. Dale Carnegie
Ok here are some pictures from Saturday course measuring which we will be putting on next month. It's the Mission Peak Fat ass 50k. I'm not sure how much climbing it has, Jerry has it all on his gps.
We both wore our GPS's and got 32 miles.
You climb out of Ed Levin to Monument peak then run the fire road to the first water which is about 6.5 miles, you do an out and back to the water then head over Mission peak along the Bay ridge trail then the Ohlone college trail then a loop from YSC to the Panorama trail. You connect again with Bay ridge Mission Peak trail then head back over Mission peak then down and take the Ohlone trail to Sunol park. The back over Mission peak to the Horse heaven trail following the Ohlone 50k course
To the parking lot and a 1 mile road run to my house where we will finish.
we will have to car shuttle to the start. I'm looking forward to running it again. It took us 10 hours. It was muddy and we stopped a lot and we finished the last 3.5 miles running in the dark.
I am going to make a blog page for it.
I'm getting excited about Twin Peaks. I leave Thursday after work for SoCal, I'm flying down..Woo Hoo...
