We are all students and teachers. I often ask myself, “What did I come here to learn, and what did I come to teach?” I learned a lot over the weekend, I am not super human, but only human. I bleed red just like everybody else. I may get knocked down but I will never be knocked out!!!I came to teach everyone to love life and have fun, even if there is suffering in the process.

I did not finish Western states 100 made it to mile 85 and needed an IV which automatically disqualifies me from the race.I never felt right from the beginning. I kept thinking I will feel better and My energy would get better. I felt like passing out and could barley move. Thanks for all your positive vibes.Every 100 mile race can't be perfect. if I knew the outcome of each race, and knew I would finish every time. I doubt I would love this distance so much. I do it to challenge myself ,and sometimes the challenge is to tell yourself to be smart ,and save the fight for another day.
I will write a story soon. I love you all!!!
Thanks to my boyfriend Andy Kumeda and crew chief "Firecracker" Kathy D'Onofrio for all there support and hard work to get me to mile 85.

Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.

This is what I will be focusing on this weekend having fun running Western states 100 and not focus on the finish line. I will enjoy each new person I meet and all those who will be helping me along the way and enjoying every minute.
Rocky says I'm ready so I guess I'm ready!!

Was going to run the double this year but had a feeling the course would change because of the snow. And guess what it did so since it's not the original course it doesn't make sense to do it.
I already saw it coming so made my mind up two weeks ago not to run the double.

There is always next year ;-)

Please follow me on the Western states website this weekend. I am #333 and please send me positive vibes on my journey.
I have an awesome crew my BF Andy Kumeda and Kathy D'Onofrio.
Andy will also pace me from Foresthill to the finish.
See you all in Squaw and good luck runners ;-) it's going to be FUN!!!!

LOVE YOURSELF...................
End your day by privately looking directly into your eyes in the mirror and saying “I love you”. Do this for thirty days and watch how you transform. Mark Victor Hansen
Yeah thanks Larry & Rob for making me this cool award. I picked up my Ohlone 131 finisher award in Sunol Thursday afternoon. I did my last long run of 10 miles ;-)
It was an awesome day it was warm.
Don't ask me what happened to yesterday or today. No heat training ran 6 yesterday and today 3 with Rocky then 8.5 with Mike.

I am ready for the next journey in my life Western states 100. I am mostly excited for all the first time 100 mile runners it's such a cool feeling crossing that finish line for the first time.

I am looking forward to Andy pacing me. I think this will be only the second time he has paced me since we usually run all the same races. Wait it's the second time at a hundred ;-)

I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. Oh and Happy Dad's day to all you Dad's.
Ok need to finish coloring my hair. Making it all Hot Pink for Western states ;-)

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.
San Diego 100 done!!! That was a PR for Andy and I since we started running it together there 3 years ago. 28:43 broke our record by 8 min. on a much tougher course.
It was a beautiful course with more single track and adding more of the PCT.

We had a good run but slowed at night. I am happy to report after all these 100's I think I got my feet issue under control did a shoe change once and changed socks twice. It worked.

This was the 71st time I have run 100 miles and I believe it was Andy's 37 time. It was Andy's 7th finish at SD 100 and my 6.
RD Scotty did an amazing job and all the people who helped were awesome.
It was great to see so many friends and enjoy a day and night on the trails with them.

Next up Western States 100. I was planning on a double this year but between the snow and work I don't have time this year. That's fine I have a couple other long adventures up my sleeve ;-)
This my taper week for WST so I'm running just a few miles a day and will do a couple 8 milers. I want my body to be really rested.

Thanks to all of you my friends for sending me positive thoughts along my journey's it really means a lot.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.....The danger lies in refusing to face the fear, in not daring to come to grips with it, you must make yourself succeed every time. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

I faced my fears..Well I didn't really have one. I decided to literally take the jump! Yep, I went skydiving. I have always wanted to do this.
I have seen many friends in the past few years take up skydiving and move on to base jumping.

I have watched countless hours of videos of friends doing cool things jumping out of airplanes, mountain peaks and buildings. I have sat back and have been extremely fascinated by it all.
You gotta start somewhere right. So I did my first jump.
And yes I loved it. I wanted to go again after, I would of if I had the money.

I plan on going again next month and doing it again. It was like the funnest ride in the whole wide world.
I felt so free and so alive. It was amazing viewing the world from so up high. I loved every minute of it and my instructor Kirby was awesome.

The Parachute center in Lodi gets 5 stars from me they were all very professional and nice.
It's only 100 bucks to jump, which is very cheap.

Ok now it's time to tapper for San Diego 100 which is this weekend. Everyone please send me those positive vibes like you do.
Enjoy your week. Oh and do something crazy once in awhile it really makes you feel alive ;-)

LOVE TO PLAY...................
Always be ready to have the time of your life........
I definitely love to play. I get outside everyday to play. Life is to short to not go out and enjoy the world.
I love pushing myself on a daily basis.
As I get older I feel stronger not sure why! Maybe because with each year I get in better shape.

I am super excited to announce I will be skydiving for the first time in my like. My roommate Jerry is taking me along with my friend Faye and a few others. Jerry has skydived a few times.
This is something that was on my tic list for this year so I am finally doing it.

I am getting ready for San Diego 100 this is the last week of long training. I will get out and do my last 30 miler Friday on Diablo hopefully it will be hot!!!

I am not sure if I will do the Double western states this year. Since there is still lots of snow I'm thinking this may not be a good year. I will decided after San Diego 100 as it looks now I don't think it will happen. I rather have a good race one way and push hard if that happens I won't want to go back since it's 10 times harder going back.
We will see in a couple weeks ;-)
