Appreciate the journey

Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vintage point. Harold B Melchart

My body needed rest. Today I slept in..I woke up at 6am to put Rocky out and thought I need to sleep. Went back to bed and woke up at 9:45am it's been a long time since I slept in that late. But since my body is still out of wack from C2M i decided I needed rest.
I got up and took Rocky for a run. I was really sore today. I'm thinking it was from crossfit a couple days ago. I did a couple "Tabatas" today push-ups and sit-ups.
How can you not love this little guy? Just look at that face. He isn't going to be happy next week when I go to Andy's without him. We are running Old Goats 50 miler and I'm flying. But the following week he gets to go on a road trip to Andy's.
I really think Andy would be Rocky if he was a dog ,and same for Rocky if he was human . They have the same personality ;)
This is the look that gets me every time. If I'm getting ready and ignoring him he does this so he can go..LOL..He's so funny.

All roads lead to Rome! Or in other words all paths lead to the same place. But before those paths lead us to anywhere we have to stop thinking about it and get on with it. This is a time of action and movement. Don’t worry if you make a mistake, we’re not perfect. If you realise you’ve made a mistake then make another choice and get back to the right path. Revamp objectives and approach life from another perspective.

I know what you mean about sleeping in. My pup wouldn't let me today. I still went in and did "300" today, and now I am whipped.

Best of luck at Diablo 50K and congrats on your great 100miler. I found your blog about 2 years ago and it helped me fall in love with the idea of trying trail running. Well I have done it and am now doing my first 50K next weekend. Thanks for inspiring me!
