Teach love to those who hate, and let that love embrace you as you go out into the world. May the teachings of those you admire become part of you, so that you may call upon them. Remember, those whose lives you have touched and whose have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have wished. It is the content of the encounter that is more important than the form.

Hey Girl-
Thanks. Brian MacKenzie fellow badass crossfitter/ultrarunner came up with the whole crossfit running cert. It's all based on the pose technique. I never thought my running was bad until we all did this class we all had poor form.
I talked with Jorge Pacheco, saw him at OC 100k and a bunch of us went out to dinner. He changed the way he ran he runs more like the pose way. He use to be a heal striker. He has shaved 10-15 min. off of some of his times. Which is huge for someone so fast.
I am actually do a intense crossfit and running training with Brian for 2 weeks. I am excited about running now.
And lower my milage and doing more intense crossfit wods and trying to pr there. It cross over and in the end my running should improve.
Yeah Andy is a sweetie. We have been hanging out for the past 4 weeks. It's going great.
Hope all is well with you.
I'm getting my level 1 crossfit trainer cert. next month.
XOXO,
Catra

Congrats on the cert and looking hot as always. I'm curious though how does he change how you run? I don't run nearly as much as you (I ride more than run...in fact I just completed my first 60 mile ride throgh Orange County) but I was browsing through Chi Running at B&N and it was interesting. Is what you're doing similar?

Catra,
I've been following those boys out in Newport online from out here in Kansas. It sounds like an excellent class and congrats on your certification. Maybe I can find the courage to fly out there and check it out up close. BTW, Andy looks like a sweetheart. enjoy!

Hey Cubiclegirl-
Thanks, I just love playing dress up.
It's fun dressing up and going out. The reality is I had nothing to wear. The skirt in my bathing suit cover-up and I just threw a cute bra on that I had..LOL.
It worked ;)

Hi Jack-
It's different then chi running. It's called pose. It's all about pulling and falling forward. Mike our instructer there are things he likes with chi but there is a lot he doesn't agree with it.
Running really feels better. It's still new and I can't change over night. I am going to train with Brian for two weeks at Newport crossfit to work on my crossfit & running.
They believe you can run less and still finish a 100 mile race on 6 hours a week of running. But you need to be very intense with your crossfit.
I'm willing to try it.

6 hours a week of running will probably help you run longer with less potential for injury which always a good thing. I'm looking forward to following your progress. I finally got myself into a proper gym so I can work on the core stuff and keep riding/running longer myself.

Looking fantastic Catra.

I went to Oregon this weekend and we stopped for a bit in Shasta area, and took a stroll on a very snow covered PCT.I ran barefoot on it just to say I did and I thought of you.I wanted to send you a text pic of the trail but have missplaced your number on my phone...great vibes there.
