Crossfit today we did time trials.....
Row 500m-2:37 Run 400m 2:02 100 pull-ups-4:14(jumping) 100 push ups 6:03 and 100 abmat sit-ups 3:14. We were suppose to rest 5 min. between exercises but I didn't. I will next time so my times should be better.
FYI anytime I mention something about a crossfit wod and you want to know like what a burpee is go to crossfit.com they have video. It's hard for me to explain the movement but easier to demo.

Sunny, warm beautiful day on my 20 mile Alameda creek trail run after crossfit.
Just stretching at the Niles turn around point.
I always work out a little crossfit into this run there are many benches. I do 20 push-ups and box jumps alone the way.
Look at my Falcon friend I saw today. Isn't he cute.
This was my first 20 miler in my Vasque blurs and I'm digg'n em. I also put the super feet insole in them and they felt awesome.

I added this song because it reminds me of my MOM, it was her favorite U2 song and it was the first song I heard after I found her dead. Everytime I hear it on my mp3 player I get teary eyed and think of how much I love my Mom.

The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town

You're out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere

You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace

It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In the maze of her imagination

You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets
clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a
leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the
colors came out

It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don't have you
don't need it now
What you don't know you
can feel it somehow
What you don't have you
don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day

I have no clue how I ran across your blog, but, I'm so glad I did. I think you're awesome! I've reading your past entries and I can't seem to get back to work now. I had a trainer who used to give me quite a few of the crossfit workouts, but I didn't even know about crossfit. I thought Burpees were his concoction, ha ha. I'll be checking in here often.

That's exactly what I did when I saw you doing burpees...I checked out crossfit and tried a few...man those are tough! Even harder when you maintain the correct form. Anyway, you've motivated me, purely an ultra runner, into joining crossfit as soon as it's open here in Maryland. Thanks for all of your inspiration Catra. As always, kick-ass pictures. Way to go Rocky!

By the way, the bird in your photos is a red-shouldered hawk.
