HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.....i KINDA THINK IT'S A SILLY HOLIDAY. i THINK PEOPLE SHOULD SHOW THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER EVERYDAY. Sure they can do something extra, extra special to show there love on this day. But I think everyday should be valentines day if you're in love.
Im heading out to So Cal this evening. I for once have a valentines day date. Lucky me ;)
Many of you ask what is crossfit? Down below I posted what it is. This is how it is discribe on the crossfit.com web-site.
Have a beautiful rest of the week.
Just a little windy on my run yesterday.
The setting sun.
My very first picture of a Pelican, isn't he cute in a funny sorta way?
Mission Peak looming in the distance.
Me after my run and ready to hit crossfit. 2/13 Wod 10 rounds for time of: run 200 meters-10 burpees-10 knees to elbows 28:22. Yeah, it sounds easy but it isn't!

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
Thousands of athletes worldwide have followed our workouts posted daily on this site and distinguished themselves in combat, the streets, the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes.

Happy V Day! Have a great time tonight. I've been checking the crossfit site every day and getting acquainted with some of the exercised I didn't already know. The closest affiliate is about 45 minutes away from me, not very convenient since my current gym is 1 1/2 miles from my office.

Hi Donna-
Thanks I had a blast.
Let me suggest if you have time go a couple times to the crossfit facility so you can what it's like.
The web-site is awesome and you can learn everything on it. I like that there is video to show you to do the movements.
Let me suggest you buy an ab-mate online. I have been doing crunches for years and my abs have never looked this good. it's because of the ab-mates we use at crossfit. It isolates the area. They are cheap maybe 30 dollars.
I do at least 3 wods at home a week and go to crossfit 5-6 days a week.
I just love crossfit what can i say.

Hi Catra,
Found your blog while looking for somewhere to run along Alameda Creek Trail. Very inspired by your incredible endurance. I want to check out crossfitone. I'm a little intimidated that they might be too hard core. What are the people like? I am 45 yrs old and compete in sprint and olympic triathlons. While my kids are at school I bike, swim, run and then bike, swim and run some more. Love your blog - you are a great inspiration. Hope to get up the courage to go to crossfit one and maybe even the tatoo I've always dreamed of.

Hi. I haven't read your blog in a while. What running skirts do you like the best (least creepage, etc.)
