I leave tomorrow for Hawaii. I'm excited about running HURT 100. It's going to be FUN!!!!!!
I believe you can track me through the HURT web-site during the race. I'm bib #15. Please send me all the positive vibes you can this weekend. I will need them :)

Mr. Rocky waking up from a long nap.
A time for remembering...........For everything there is an appointed season, And a time for everything under heaven- A time for saring, a time for caring. A time for loving, a time for giving; A time for remembering.
I love you Mom & Dad and Peggy! I will kick some butt at HURT for you. I know you will be with as you always are.
There is one thing I know for sure in my life, and that's my little dog Rocky loves me very much, and he always is so happy to see me ;)

Let balance be your watchword, for every win there is a loss and so it follows that every loss begets a win. Unforeseen changes and unexpected occurrences will ultimately be favourable. It is easy to say, and yet powerfully true, that when faced with a problem the best way through is to deal with it. Running away or avoiding problems only brings them back later on. The law of balance is an immutable universal law, so understand that the ebb and flow of life is an intrinsic part of our strength and character building. © Stephen Haynes

Catra,

I've been reading your blog for a year or two. I love it. You are such an inspiration. I have a question. How do you get such great pictures of yourself running? Do you set your camera on timer and run past it? Or do you have someone else take the pictures? If you use the timer, how do you make sure you're in the right place at the right time, and that the camera is focused at the right distance. I am impressed with your beautiful photos. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back.

Thanks!

May the path rise to meet your feet gently as you rip HURT apart.

Good Luck and God Bless.

PS: You inspire me greatly. I plan on doing my first ultra for my 60th b'day, which is a little over 3 years away.
