I enjoyed reading your "Living Hell" thoughts from your New Year's post.
As you know - I've been to that place. I hope I never go back. In fact, I don't even look in that direction ...unless I need reminding of where and what I don't want to be.
Over the last couple o' years, I have enjoyed watching your intensity. From the arguably too many ultras back-to-back, to now constant Crossfit work outs, it's cool to see someone with the eyes wide open joy of a child ...especially in their 40s.
Right on.
Happy New Year
I was wondering if you could give me some advice on 100 miler. This is my 2nd year of running ultra (finished the Bull Run 50 miler in Virginia). I am running the Umstead 100 miler in april.

I love the first pic of you and your boy.
I WISH I could do the fat ass, but I just started running after my "just about 6 weeks" hiatus....
I am sure I could do it BUUUUUUUT
I want to play it safe for Lake Merritt 12 hour where I want to do 55+ miles!!
