Crater lake rim, Oregon.
This was one of my favorite places on the PCT. So beautiful. It looks like I'm close to the water, but in reality I'm far away from it.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with my life. Today I chose this wisdom card and it's dead on.
Have a great day.

Access the Power - Cards of Wisdom: "All is evolution, all is cyclical, therefore endings lead to new beginnings. You cannot begin without an end. If you cannot let go of the past then the past constantly recreates itself. Look now to the future and the paths to your goals will again become clear. Obstacles or limitations will be surmounted and lost or forgotten opportunities will again be presented. Success is now within your grasp but realise that to maximise that success new ways, or new methods, could make life so much easier. © Stephen Haynes"

so true. there's an old chinese proverb that says, "if the old doesn't go, the new will not come." so, what's next, catra? :) how's the knee?

cheers!

It's funny where we find our daily affirmations. I also am trying to figure out what direction life should be steered - your comments have more than once made me stop and reconsider my next move. Thanks for putting them out there.

That photo is awesome. What a backdrop.

I think you might like the book I'm reading right now: Soulcraft by Bill Plotkin.

Amazing and beautiful! I can't imagine what it must be like in person.
Good luck with the decisions. This one is a tough question.

I cycled around Crater Lake once. It's a stunning place!

You seem (from your blog) like a woman who does a lot with her life: always adventuring, always challenging yourself, always ready to be optimistic and see the beauty around you. I've found your blog to be very inspiring! I need to live a little more like this...

Good luck with all of your decisions---you've got the power to do (more!) great things.

Catra,

We've never met, but from what I've read on your Blog you seem like you're in your element when you're outside pushing yourself to the limit. When you're thinking about the future, don't lose sight of the fact that for every "Dirt Diva" there are 1000 "Dirt Diva Wannabes" sitting in office cubicles wishing they could be in your shoes! Good luck!

Jay, Dirt Diva Wannabe (sort of ;) )

Catra,
You need to come up to Oregon and run the Crater Lake Marathon, it is a gorgeous run. I just wish it was a trail run rather than pavement. Crater is a magical place.

Hi Hao-
I love that proverb.
Next for me is a Rim2Rim2Rim of the Grand Canyon. Me and 5 of my friends are going to run from one to the other and back should be fun. We are leaving Oct. 11th.
My knee is fine.

Hi Brett-
What time of year is it. I don't run marathos but you're right Crater Lake is a magical place and would run on the roads there to enjoy the beauty. I think I would run the whole rim on the trail then run the Marathon the next day ;)
