SUPER HIP CHICK ;)

Just got an email from my two buddies from the PCT. Erik the black & Bull they made it to Canada yeasterday at 4pm. I cried I was so happy for them, I was sad to that I wasn't by their side and standing at the monument.
I can't lie ,I'm only human and I was a jeoulous for a minute. But that's not a good feeling to have. I changed it to positive thoughts for them and how brave they were through the really bad weather the last few weeks. I'm so proud of these young guys. I will always have such fun memories of all the fun times. They where a big part I got as far as I got. I love you guys and am so very proud.

Hey Catra,

Good to hear they made it! I actually went over to Erik's blog where he posted a picture of himself sitting on the monument (the PCT monument, sitting on the border monument would probably hurt!). What an incredible feeling of accomplishment that must have been. Are you still leaning towards making another attempt at the PCT next year or is that on hold for now?

Cheers,

Jay.

Rocky sure is a handsome boy!!

Your time will come to make it to Canada. You will rock that trail and use the knowledge you gathered to complete your mission :) Have a great day Catra.

Hi Jay-
I will be on the trail going for the woman's record next year. The mens record is a tough one to beat. I think Tattoo Joe wil try and break his record he set this year of 79 days.
I just want to push for 91 days or under.
I will run ultras next year but only 1 a month. I will focus more on long training hikes of 30-40 miles once a week with my pack starting in March. I need to go into it strong and ready this year and not get in hiking shape as I go along the trail.

I'm super proud of Erik & Bull. I got a text message last night from Bull. I know they are so thrilled. I'm sure he's happy to get back home to his beautiful wife City Girl.
