This is all the stuff that fits in my pack. Tent Black diamond mega mid light(2 pounds) Maramot hydrogen sleeping bag(1 pound 4 ounces). I cut a piece of blue foam that I buy at REI. I cut it just to fit my shoulders to my butt. Tyvek ground cloth to fit the length of my body. Yellow stuff sack in front of me containes my extra clothes pants, gloves, rain a jacket long sleeve shirt and hat. Oh and two pair of socks. Other items; first aid/blister kit. Sea sponge for washing up small bar of soap. small tooth brush & tooth paste. Sunscreen, map, whistle, mirror, small swiss army knief, lighter & food.
I wish I could somehow fit my little dog Rocky in my pack. He actual weighs more than my pack. He weighs 20 pounds my pack 16 pounds.

Very impressive organization of your pack but what about hydration/nutrition items?

hey jen-

I have food. I will resupply at 110 miles & 240. There is always Reds meadow if I need more at mile 160. I don't usually need to stop there. Well I might stop for a salad and fruit.

I will than go 185 miles without resupply. once I get to Tahoe I will have someone bring me some supplies.

Water I carry 3 22 oz bottles. Two on the outside of my pack, there are pockets for them. One is a handheld. The whole trail ia along a river which you are always crossing. The only time I fill all my bottles is the long climb out of Muir Trail ranch it can be in the 90's on that long climb. There is no stream for at least 1.5 hours on that stretch.

Looks like the Tahoe Yosemite Trail also has plenty of water. There are a few sections of the Tahoe rim trail I might worry about but I have a map that shows all the water source's.

Ju trust me I wish Rocky could go. I know I would end up carrying him most of the way. His short legs whould have a hard time climbing the passes.

hey karrun-

I used my advet pro by gregory for most of my fastpack adventures.
I used the Nathan 063 for the Tahoe rim trail. It's a great pack but didn't fit me very well. One size does not fit all. I'm 5'3 and weigh 109 and it just didn't fit well.
