FUN TIMES WITH FRIENDS..........
Had a fun run with Jerry, Faye and John along the Ohlone wilderness trail.
Friends make the world a better place.

I know my situation will get better and I already talked with a Lawyer. I just need to take action which I am doing and stay positive.

DEFINE YOURSELF.................
Accept no one’s definition of your life. Define yourself.
Harry Feinstein
Today we ran at Henry Coe State park for the very first time. From Left to right me (Catra Corbett) Fast Jerry, Yo Yo Man and Mikey Mike. I was happy to share the trails with my awesome friends.
The weather was perfect.
I can't believe it has taken me all these years to run over here. It's only an hour away. Mike and I can't believe no one has put a 50 miler on out here. I think we are going to plan a fat ass 50k race out here in Feb. And we are planning a 50 mile training run in Spring out here too. And well, I have big plans and want to run a solo 100 miler out here sometime next year.
My life has been up and down lately My sister and I finally got rid of our house we owned together. We did a short sell we will get nothing. It's sad but true. She couldn't afford it anymore she lost her job last year and got a job but got laid off again. There is no way I could afford it that's why I moved out and we rented out a room.
Next step for me is Bankruptcy, I don't really have a choice I am so far in debit there is no way out. Long story, but I made a bad choice a couple years ago after the PCT and didn't work for almost a year. I thought it would get better but it didn't and I kept getting further behind.
I am going to talk to someone next week to get advice.
I know I need to stay positive but sometimes it's hard. I am smiling on the outside but crying on the inside. I just need to take it day by day and stay positive and enjoy the free things in life, like running on beautiful trails, in places like Henry Coe state park.

New beginnings or the possibilities of a new start are soon to be presented. Use your inner magician to pull together all the components of what soon will be in the offing, as you should now be able to manifest your hopes, dreams and desires. Remember you are only at the beginning, the first stages of development, so the more you are able to accept the more will be given to you.

CHANGE IT UP...............
If you do what you’ve always done, you will get what you’ve always gotten.
Anonymous

That's just what I'll do tomorrow running a mix of roads, trails and peaks.
I need to take my car in, need a new windshield. My ever so sweet housemate Jerry was being nice and put new blades on but the wiper sprung back and made seven long cracks on my window and they can't be fixed so gotta get a new one.
So I will drop off my Vehicle and journey along roads and trails. it will be fun.

My BFF Julia will join me and I'm sure we might stop at a Starbucks for her along the way. ;-)

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE.............
Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.

Had a great run this morning cold out, but beautiful.
Today is a busy day. I teach my get fit class at Whole Foods and I'm teaching a healthy eating class. Going to make some raw food sweets for everyone.
I better get my booty out the door.
Go out and enjoy your day....

THE BIG PICTURE...................
I don’t need to completely understand the big picture to know that my role is important. I don’t have to know the destination to know I’m headed in the right direction. Though I may not know where I am going, I’m not lost, I am exploring

Yesterday was a perfect day did one of my favorite WODS. I call it Catra's Chaos
I added two extra running miles. here's the WOD.
Run 1 mile 50 squats, run 1 mile 40 lunges, run 1 mile 30 push-ups, run 1 mile 20 burpees, run 1 mile 10 handstand push-ups.
You can add any combo of exercises with it. It's fun when you want to run and want to crossfit but are short on time.

The weather was perfect but there is rain for Friday.
I was planning on running in Yosemite, but the snow level will be at 4,000ft so won't be able to run up Clouds rest. Instead we will explore Saturday at Henry Coe state park. Me and my friends have never run there, so we will go check it out. It should be fun.

Exploring a new area is always fun.
Enjoy our beautiful weather while you can. Get outside and do something fun!!!

LIVE LIFE LOVE LIFE...........
Andy and I on top of Jones peak or what use to be a beautiful peak. It's now a fire break. We started in Bailey canyon and went all the way to Mount Wilson and down Chantry. The fire break is a steep bitch. It's not a smart why to go and impossible to run. I was happy to see Mount Wilson and was happy to see they really did a great job on saving it from the fires.
We had such a fun run it was a cool day and cold on the top. I love spending time with Andy he is an amazing Ultrarunner. He is so nice to always go slow ,with his slow girlfriend.
We we are such goofballs when were together. I really can't wait to move to Sierra Madre one day. i love that little town and all the nice people.
We don't have much time to train for Chimera 100 miler it's just around the corner. But first up I have Quad. dipsea #12 for me and Andy has a 40 miler. We then have Ridgecrest 50k. Fun times.

BE YOURSELF................
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

You all know who this is..Yep, Rocky, I love this little guy. He has been part of my life for 6 years and it has been a wonderful 6 years. He loves to be with me and I love to be with him. I take him out almost every day for 3 miles. He loves the trails and he loves his run and walks.
There was a time when I was to busy to deal with him. But once I moved I decided I had to make sure he got out everyday. Most people think if they have a yard that's all their dogs need. That is so not true. They need to see the world they need to explore. Rocky is so much happier when he is out. I know I wouldn't want to be at home all day.
So I take him out every morning and at night my roommate takes Rocky out.

He is very special to me and I want is life to be exciting and fun. Rocky has traveled and seen more then most people in his life. He has been to Yosemite and Tuolumne many times. He has been to JTree several times. He travels to SoCal on a regular basis and has been on the Mount Wilson trail, AC 100 trails, Western states trail, Way too Cool trail and the Ohlone trail in Fremont, Sunol and Del Valle.
It makes me happy to see him out enjoying his life.
One of the best things I have done in life was to rescue him. Getting a rescue is so much more fulfilling then getting a puppy. I saved his life and he filled my heart with joy.
Andy and I are sad he's not with us this weekend because I flew down. But I know he is having fun hanging out with Jerry.
If anyone wants to get a dog go through a rescue or animal shelter. Save a life.

NEW PAGE...........
If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and every day you have the opportunity to write a new page.
Mark Houlahan
Fun times out on the Ohlone. did a 20 mile run yesterday and it was great I wasn't sore at all. I was a little slow from my high mileage week but hey that's to be expected. Running 120 miles in a week is a lot of work.
I love Fall..I love all the beautiful colors that it brings. The grass starts to turn green again and all the leaves on the trees are beautiful colors.I love that chill in the air and the cold wind on my face. It makes me work a little more to stay warm on my runs.

The world is my play ground so I get out as often as I can to play :-) I hope you all get out to play to..It's keeps me alive it really does. Have a beautiful day.

BE YOURSELF..................
To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

Just another day at the office. Saturdays 30 miler. I had a great run wasn't really sore at all after Fridays 40 mile run.
My body and mind are working together which is how I like it.
I sometimes forget how lucky I am, I have this body that takes me to beautiful places. I see so much out on the trails, in the wilderness. I enjoy taking pictures for those of you who can't be out on the trails. Or maybe you don't have the desire or maybe your afraid to just get out.
Once upon a time I to was afraid to be out alone on the trails. But I had no choice if I wanted to see the beauty I had to do it alone. I didn't know anyone who ran at that time. So I learned on my own. I took it in baby steps. I was afraid of the noise in the bushes or the cow standing on the hill. I was afraid when the wind howled and afraid of the coyote's talking as the sun went down.
It was my own fears that made me strong. Each day I got a little braver and I prayed to my angels to keep me safe on my runs. They have never let me down. All the things I was afraid of I laugh at now.
Go beyond your fears so you can live. If you stay afraid you will stay stuck. You have but only one life, so go out and live.

The everyday life we live...............
For a long time it seemed to me that real life was about to begin, but there was always some obstacle in the way. Something had to be got through first, some unfinished business; time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.
Bette Howland
Had a great 40 mile training run along the Ohlone wilderness out to Rose Peak and back it took me 11:10 to finish. It started out nice but got cold, and it rained the last 2 hours.
I was the only one out on the 20 mile section from Sunol to Rose and back. And I only saw one person before Mission peak. Once I came down the peak at the end, there were a few people going up in the rain, saw my friend Joe.
I love that Sunol is so remote and if you want to go to Rose Peak it's a run or long 20 mile hike round trip.
It's a beautiful area to train.

CIRCLE OF POWER...........
Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else’s circle.
Agnes Whistling Elk
Today I did a easy run with Rocky. Did tabata ab workout. I am a bit sore from crossfit and I am planning on running 40 miles tomorrow so decided to take it a little easy today ;-)
I love running to Rose Peak from my house it's a challenging 40 mile run.
It looks like the weather should be good maybe a little rain, but that's ok I won't melt.
Saturday I'm hiking up Mission Peak with some friends. I will leave them at the top and run into Sunol and run the Maguires peak loop that will be 30 miles .
Sunday I will do Mission peak to sunol 20 miles. Gonna be a fun weekend.

SIMPLE THINGS..............
One of the simplest things about all facts of life is that to get where you want to go, you must keep on keeping on.
Norman Vincent Peale
Another awesome day!! Perfect ran 12 mile and went to crossfit after. I feel just a little trashed. But it's a good feeling using muscles that don't get used often enough. I'm talking arms pull-ups and push-ups. Need to keep building my upper body. It's always been the weakest part for me.

Planning on running 40 miles on Friday if anyone is interested you can contact me. Another busy day for me so I better go.

YOUR UNIQUE TALENT......

Use your talent (everybody has one) in anyway you can. Don't keep it for yourself like a miser - spend it like a millionaire! Lucy MacDonald

Had an awesome 12 mile run before crossfit today. The weather was oh so beautiful it was warm and sunny. The Momma cows were out in full force with the babies. I had to run around a few herds.

I love Mission Peak I know we all have that special place that is near and dear to our hearts ,where we go when we need to find that answer we are looking for.

I have so many times in my life hit the trail sad and lonely and came off that peak feeling so alive and happy. I often run up Mission Peak to be alone. It use to be easy, to be alone up there but through the years so many people have fallen in love with my Peak. I do know where to be alone up there and I always choose to go up Mission Peak the Horse heaven trail instead of the main trail.

Seems like today there were others trying to be alone on Horse heaven saw 3 different people going up that way.

It was a good day. I know the weather will change and it will soon grow cold and windy ,but for know I will enjoy the sun warming my body and the sweat dripping off my face and the dirt on my sweaty legs.

I truly am alive!!!

crossfit wod "Cindy" 20 min. as many rounds of 5 push-ups, 10 push-ups, 15 squats. I did 15 rounds + 2 push-ups(sub) pull-ups.
