"The woods are lovely dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep." - Robert Frost

I did it! I finished my 4th Umstead 100. Wasn't my fastest time but I still managed to push hard at the end to go under 23 hours. My time was 22:58.

I will write my report later which includes a deranged lunatic who attacked a few runners, I saw him but he knew better then to mess with me ;-)

Oh BTW way Andy PR'd he ran 18:33.
Stay tuned for more.

Great, great job. Congrats to you and Andy as well. I always love seeing you during 100s, plugging along and smiling. Double kudos for starting your post with an awesome Robert Frost quote. :)

Hey Dirt Diva, congratulations! I just wanted to let you know that you totally inspire me and yesterday I completed my first birthday challenge. I don't know whether I will be an ultrarunner, but I do know I will give anything I try my all and kick ass! Your success was clearly not handed to you and that shuts up all those negative voices in my head that I'm too old, too messed up, etc. Anyway, keep blogging, and I hope someday to see 'ya on the trails!
