Making one person smile can change the world – maybe not the whole world, but their world.

Headlands hundred miler done!!! It was my 95th finish of running 100 miles or more. It was my 4th Headlands hundred finish and my fastest by over 1 hour 29:42.
I don't care what anyone says about me being a fruitarian anymore!!! It's working for me and that is all that maters. I did cheat and felt the urge to have something warm at night it was vegan veggi soup.
But that is the first time in 8 months I've done that had something cooked.
I believe I got a stomach ache after that LOL.
I ate fruit and had raw dried fruit bars and vega date paste gels that is what I ate the whole race.

My bad point was 60-75 but I had Donato keeping me moving.
I picked Linda up at mile 75 and she was taking me to the finish.
I power hiked the climbs and shuffle ran the downhills. I felt strong she talked and showered me words of encouragement and made me feel good. I can always count on Linda for that.

We left the last aid station and doing the math which I can never do in a hundred I panicked !! I wanted to course PR. But shit I didn't know what my PR was 29 something!! I thought time to go G6.
I had to freaking move !!
I needed my iPod I needed music for the last 3 miles. Donato was coming out to meet us to run to the finish he could not believe we were almost to the top of the climb. I said once I get to the top I'm going for it. I found my green iPod the one that has my LMFAO music on it. I searched for party rock Anthem song. I got to the top of Wolfe ridge and it was all over.
Crazy girl came out with LMFAO music and ran like the world was coming to an end and a big monster would eat me if he caught me. I had 2.5 miles to go. I dropped Linda like a hot potato(sorry)
And Donato who is a way faster runner than me was hanging on for dear life.
I was locked on the finish!! All I know was that people were scrambling to get out of my way because there was no slowing down. Donato was apologizing for me.
I was running 6:30 min. Mile. Crazy shit !!
All I thought of was the KARF organization, the senior dog rescue that I raised money for prior to HH. Thanks for all who donated. I thought of those dogs and I was running to give them a better life. I was running for all those who look up to me and are inspired. I wanted to make my little world and all the people in it proud!'
I did it PR. Yes by over an hour woo hoo.

Time to get ready for the next one September 26th Tahoe double dare 144 miles woo hoo.
Run on peeps

Love and life is about taking risks. You'll never know what's going to happen next unless you're brave enough to face whatever it brings.

180 miles on the JMT peeing blood and having the worst UTI ever!!
Did I have fun hell ya!!
Joel taught me how to be patient and I taught him how to live in chaos on the trail. It was perfect!!

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ― Winston Churchill

San Diego 100 was a success.
I finished!!
I knew going into this race it would be a race that would change me this year.
It had been 5 months since my relationship ended with Andy, I had not talked to him or seen him only texted and emails were exchanged prior.
I decided to reach out to him so it would not be awkward when we saw each other face to face.
It was nice to hear his voice it was just like long ago when we were friends.

We decided we would not talk about the past.
It was nice seeing him and for me all I wanted was closure. Just seeing him gave me that,  I wanted answers but decided why?? It's over and I just need to move on.

I drove up with Andy Noise and Joel Livesey from Bakersfield.
I had a blast with both if them. Joel was to be Andy noises pacer.
Ok fast forward to race day.
I went solo no crew or pacer had a good race until mile 72 I actually hooked up with another runner and pacer John and Carl.
I started slowing down and was pretty much done by 80 but there was an angel waiting for me his name was Joel. Once I saw him I was happy and excited and I became happy.
He kept me going like a seasoned pro. Even though it was his first time pacing. He has only run a few ultras but he is a lot like me. He wants more and is running his first hundred this year.

I was happy to have him pace me and telling me his story which is a lit like mine addict background.

The race had a very low finishing rate because of the heat happy I felt pretty darn good through most of it.

Joel did such an awesome job he will be at AC 100 helping

My time was 30:21 it was finish number 8 for San Diego. It was my 92nd hundred mile finish woo hoo.

Good things come to those who wait… greater things come to those who get off their ass and do anything to make it happen.”

Well it's that time of year again it's San Diego 100 time!! Woo hoo!!
I will be going for finish #8 this year.
Last year there was a glitch in the system and I failed to finish. I hope to have no issues this year and I hope for a strong finish.
The only issue I am having is seeing my X for the first time in 5 months.
I am hoping to have a phone conversation this week with him so we don't feel awkward when we see each other.
I have happily moved on and I wish him the best. It will be nice to share the trails with him again since he has been injured since December.
I am looking forward to seeing all my friends on the trail.
I hope all of you can send me positive vibes this weekend. Thanks!!

"There is no such thing as can't, only won't. If you're qualified, all it takes is a burning desire to accomplish, to make a change. Go forward, go backward. Whatever it takes! But you can't blame other people or society in general. It all comes from your mind. When we do the impossible we realize we are special people."

I did it!! Ohlone 131 miler in 49:45.
This was my 10th year running 100 or 131 miles before the race and finishing the last 50k of the Ohlone with the official race.
