And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
It takes a long time to grow young.

Your birthday is a special time to celebrate the gift of 'you' to the world.

Woo Hoo tomorrow is my 45th B-day I have been living on this earth for 45 years. It hasn't always been easy but I can say i love life. I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with fun adventures and epics.
Remember.
LIVE LIFE LOVE LIFE...................

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I love your blog and read every new post. What amazes me is the quotes and proverbs that you post. Everyone is meaningful and true and most ofthe time exactly what I am feeling but unable to express. So thank you.

You are a shining example of todays headline!

Thanks for sharing and thanks always for the inspiration. Have a great birthday, and very Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2010!

My kids thought you were 20! They didn't believe me when I told them your real age. You made quite an impression! Have a great time down south and for sure let's get together when you get back.

  14. Happy birthday Catra.
I liked the saying in the Born to Run book "You don't stop running because you get to old, you get old because you stop running" keep it up.
Just reading the online book by 50's 60's english runner Gordon Pirie in his career he ran, from his estimation about 240,000 miles wow.

Happy belated birthday, Catra! My 45th birthday is one week after yours, on December 31st.

Hope to run on the Backbone Trail for at least half of the day, tehn spend some time with my family. I hope you had a nice birthday.

  20. Dear Catra,
Thank you for showing us all that we can be so resilient after what we perceive to be hardship....and that, if we "live life love life" enough, we can often persist and not even notice the "hardship" while it is happening and grow stronger in the process.
Sorry I wasn't able to meet you during my last visit to CA...I did, as promised, dedicate my PCTR run to you and your sister. That energy gave me a 30K trail PR and also a CR, even taking the course change into consideration.
Happy New Year and best wishes for many happy runs in 2010! Ann
