don't worry I didn't eat Mickey. I don't eat wheat, plus I'm on the Zone diet!!! And he's not in the ZONE!!!
THE SOUL IS ON EARTH FOR IT'S OWN DELIGHT.

Consider this amazing possibility: You incarnated on this earth just to experience the joy of being alive. Do you even know joy?? Do something about that today.
I had no idea Jack from the Nightmare before Christmas was part of Disney. Me just modeling with Jack.
Andy bought me the cutest purse, it's a Nightmare before xmas purse.
Sunday we went to the Wisteria fest in Sierra Madre we bought some cool crafts the weather was a little iffy. It was cloudy most of the day.

Today is one of the hardest days of the year for me. It's the Anniversary of my Moms death. I miss her everyday and think of her often. I will always keep her memory alive. She is and will always be my hero.
Being with Andy during this time somehow made today a bit easier. He can relate because both his parents are gone too.
We feel it was our Angels(our parents) who brought us together.

Heading out to the Key club in Hollywood
Poor Andy, he's such a good sport. I made him put the dorky hat on so I could take a picture :)
Disneyland
California adventure land.

The ride to the right of the picture made us feel sick. There were two girls with us in our cage that felt sick too...

Change, disruption or obstacles could be the order of the day! There is a reason for each of these occurrences but in general it can be said that the way in which you are doing things, or viewing things, has to change. Very often the universe takes a hand and helps you by clearing away the debris of the old, but be assured that what is right, essential or just plain needed, will remain in place. In all cases be calm in the face of these unexpected events and just know that everything is going to be all right.

CrossFit is a comprehensive health-and-fitness program designed for universal scalability; meaning so long as you're committed, you can get started regardless of experience level. Rather than change programs, we change our loads and intensity to meet the demands of everyone from the elderly to champion cage fighters.

CrossFit focuses on all ten elements of optimal physical fitness:

1) Cardio/Respiratory Endurance
2) Stamina
3) Strength
4) Flexibility
5) Power
6) Speed
7) Coordination
8) Agility
9) Balance
10) Accuracy
These pictures were taken on my 15 mile run today up the Mt. Wilson trail. The wildflowers were out in full force. It was warm and foggy at the start but once I got to Manzanita ridge it was sunny on top.
Andy and I are going to Disneyland Saturday, I'm super excited.
Now is a time of commitment. Decide upon your direction or goal and begin the journey towards it. Take time to recognise the patterns that have sabotaged you in the past and eliminate them from your future. Change must take place in the inner you before change can take place in the real world. Let balance be your watchword and if you need help then it will appear.

HAPPY EASTER BLOGGERS.....Day one of the crossfit level 1 cert. All of the people in the pictures are trainers of crossfit one world or students attending the cert. We had 7 peps from one world who got their certs. Congrats. to all.

Get ready, I repeat, get ready, as the wheel is about to turn and an old cycle end and a new cycle begin. A new way of doing things is about to commence. The struggle will now be over as life rapidly turns into something much better. Sometimes there has to be havoc and chaos while a new order is established. Don’t get stuck on how it ought to be, let things go the way they will - this will bring you much good fortune. Don’t forget to say thank you for this chance to begin again.

To become a level 1 trainer they try to break you down and kill you. If you survive you are Fit as Fuck and you will get certified, which by the way all 60 of us did ;)
It was very intense and I learned a lot. I really gotta thank Freddy and the staff of One world without them I would not have a solid enough foundation, to feel confident about training people. I have a lot to learn and want to work with other trainers to get more knowledge.
We were put there some pretty hard WODS but we all survived. The coaches and trainers were awesome.

Me and the beautiful and very BADASS Nicole. One of the trainers.

The badass crossfit trainers, I feel so lucky to be in the middle of these hunks.

Last but not least we must all congratulate Andy my BF ,he placed 6th overall in the Coyote two moons 100 miler, He finished in 28 hours and change.
I am so very proud of you Andy. Now if I could only become as badass as a runner like him I would be super happy.

RESISTING CHANGE LEADS TO ILLNESS. ACCEPTING CHANGE BRINGS ABOUT PEACE.
Embrace the changes in your life. Release what you no longer need, and welcome the seeds of new experience.
Julia and I ran a 40 mile run yesterday we had a blast. I left her at mile 10 and wanted to be to the top of rose in under 6 hours. I was working on my pose the whole time. I reached the summit mile 20 in 5:45, Julia made her way up in 6:10. I waited for so we could head back together.
My legs were sore from crossfit the day before we did overhead squats so by mile 25 I was feeling it. I have also been fighting a cold so I was feeling 100%.
There were a couple groups of backpacers heading up as we were coming down.
I talked to Andy he was getting ready for Coyote 2 moons 100. His start time was 6pm last night. He was nervous about having to stay awake two nights. I think I calmed his fears when talking to him.
Lets send him positive energy today to do well also send positive thoughts to all the runners for a safe journey.

I bought bunny ears for me and Julia, we always have fun together and don't care what people think when we do wacky stuff on the trail. We got a lot of smiles and laughs coming down the peak yesterday.
I'm heading to crossfit level 1 cert now should be fun.
Oh btw I loved the shoes they were awesome. I don't think I'm ready to run 100 miles in them but will run 50 milers in them.

RECOVERY ISN'T A GOAL IT'S A PROCESS.....
You never stop repairing and renewing yourself. You must absorb the light and shadow of each day you live. Don't keep your spirit stuck in yesterday as a new day begins. Prayer is process.
Wow what a perfect healing card to pull today. I have been so sad trying to figure this thing called life out. This time of year is especially sad. In less than a week it will be the 6th anniversary of my Moms death. Easter was her favorite time of year. So i really miss her.
I have my crossfit cert. this weekend and am bummed I won't be at Coyote 2 moons 100 supporting Andy.
Good news I went to Whole Foods in Cupertino nice new store. My friend Dominic works there and has been bugging me to come there. The teamleader is cool and will let me stay on Seasonal and I can work there mon-Thurs. Perfect. I will stay on at REI one day a week.
I'm hoping the Pasadena store will have an opening in the next few months, so I can move down South;)

Pose is hard work. Still working on my form.
NO Way are those pink trail shoes???? YES way! They are someone answered my prayers. Well North Face did. These are very light weight trail shoes with no support and thin sole perfect for pose running. I ran 8 miles on the road in So Cal and 10 miles on the trail today. The real test will be Friday on a 40 mile run.

New Gear, North face cooper hill trail shoes, Injinji socks, Nathan 08 version intensity woman's pack and amphipod hand held.

New beginnings or the possibilities of a new start are soon to be presented. Use your inner magician to pull together all the components of what soon will be in the offing, as you should now be able to manifest your hopes, dreams and desires. Remember you are only at the beginning, the first stages of development, so the more you are able to accept the more will be given to you.

So we didn't make it to Disneyland :( but that's ok Andy and I always think of something cool to do at the last minute. I had read in the papaer that the Body Worlds 3 exhibit story of the heart opened that Friday. So since the weather was a little iffy on Sunday we thought lets go to the body worlds.
What an amazing person Dr. Gunther Von Hagens is. He came up with the whole plastination thing. There were specimens both of organs and whole bodies.
I was really amazed. I was so intoxicated by it all. I could not believe what we look like on the inside. So beautiful all the muscles , tendons and veins. The organs they had displayed weren't very pleasing to me. Especially the lungs and Heart of a smoker. It was so neat to see the bladder, never saw it up close. As most of you know I have suffered from bladder infections off and on since 2002, which by the way my bladder has been fine since July 2007 PCT. I hope this season of running it stays under control.
The bodies were all so beautiful. I loved the lovers on display at the end they way the bodies were posed and how he held her.
My favorite was the man holding his skin. I told Andy when I die I want someone to save my skin. It's expensive skin..LOL... I would love to donate my body to science and have them put me on display like that.
I highly recommend if your in LA it will be showing through September at California science center.
That same night we also went to see fellow ultrarunner / comedian Jimmie Dean Freemen at a comedy club..I forgot the name. We had a lot of fun.
I'm back home in Fremont. I have my crossfit level 1 cert. this weekend looking forward to that.

All roads lead to Rome! Or in other words all paths lead to the same place. But before those paths lead us to anywhere we have to stop thinking about it and get on with it. This is a time of action and movement. Don’t worry if you make a mistake, we’re not perfect. If you realise you’ve made a mistake then make another choice and get back to the right path. Revamp objectives and approach life from another perspective.

Andy and I ran our very first ultra together Saturday we ran the Unknown ?k it was in the Cleveland national forest. It was a beautiful 33 mile course. The weather started off cool, it was a little cloudy. It got warm enough the first few miles to shed my jacket. It snaked around a crest and we climbed along ridges in this beautiful area. It was one of those days where you would take your jacket off and in 20 min. you were cold and had to put it back on.
There was 3 aid stations on the course, and there were out and backs into the aid stations, so you got to see the runners ahead of you.
We all had to pick Pokemon cards at the start and exchange them along the course. Who ever had the highest card won a ipod. Not sure who won.

I had a blast out there. We really took it easy out on the course. Andy has a 100 miler next Friday C2M 100. I also tried to focus on pose which really slows me down. We didn't mind running slow the most important thing was that we were together.
Oh, I forgot to mention we slept only a couple hours the night before. We slept in the back of Andy's Audi which is not a SUV. We fit in there perfect but it was freak'n cold out.

I just want to thank Andy for all the fun I've been having you're the best.
"I want to stand with you on a mountain, I want to bath with you in the sea, I want to lay like this forever, until the sky falls down on me."

. "I don't fear insects or spiders. At great heights, I jump off, smiling. In the face of death I wink. But, when I look into your eyes, I'm in fear of how much I love you."
Mt. Wilson trail run at dusk.
Andy and I did a trail run at dusk. I had run 6 miles earlier in the day and a crossfit wod. I couldn't believe how humid it was out last night when we started our run. We ran to the heli pad and turned around. We were hungry and it was getting dark. It did get dark on the way back and we had only one flashlight, only because I said I didn't need one.
We went to Thai food in Sierra Madre, we got it to go, and sat home and ate.
I have so much fun with Andy he is the sweetest, nicest and caring guy I have ever been with.
We are so excited about Saturday it will be our first ultra together. I'm even more excited about Sunday. Andy is going to take me to Disneyland. I can't wait we are going to have so much fun. Actually we always have fun as long as we're together.
Sorry for the mushy post.

"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up....you'd better be running"
